To exercise the University’s
higher jurisdiction and, by means of resources,
to act as the controller for the lawfulness
and appropriateness of the President, the Departmental
Councils and of the rest of the University
bodies’ decisions. |

To enact its internal regulations. |

To create, cancel or abolish
University bodies, graduate and postgraduate
courses of study and, if asked by the President,
to approve the University’s functional
and organic structure. |

To enact the general regulations
required by graduate and postgraduate systems,
to plan the University’s activities,
and to guide the teaching and research activities. |
| :: |
To prepare the annual academic
calendar, the educational proposals and the
admission requirements for each academic year. |
| :: |
To approve the educational
programs and the scope of the different diplomas
and degrees granted by the University. |
| :: |
To determine the working
and payment systems for the University staff,
in accordance with the federal law in force;
to plan and pass the teaching, administration
and service courses of study; and to plan the
performance evaluation systems for each of
them. |

To regulate and set priorities
for the scientific and technological research
carried out at the University. |

To regulate each of the Schools
in order to manage the University’s wealth
and have it at its disposal. |

To pass the annual budget
and to periodically control the budget management. |

trials and to act as the University Court in
charge of substantiating them. |

The President and the Vice President
are appointed to four-year positions, and they can
only be reelected once, or succeed one another only
for one consecutive term. In case of reelection,
they cannot be appointed to either of these positions

all, about litigious matters regarding the teachers’ rights
and obligations. It is also in their powers to
warn students about the non-fulfillment of their
duties and to suggest suspensions or expulsions
to the Board of Directors |

To approve the annual academic
activities plan and to submit it and make it
known to the Board of Directors. They are also
in charge of carrying it out |
| :: |
To suggest to the Board of
Directors the programs for the courses of study,
the respective diplomas and academic degrees,
within their competence area |
| :: |
To submit to the Board of Directors
a proposal about staff teachers, a plan for examination
sessions and the hired payroll in order to provide
temporary teachers |
| :: |
To approve and oversee the
subjects curricula, which are developed by the
Departments |
| :: |
To create an examiners team
to act as jury and committee, and to submit it
to the Board of Directors |

To empower the Departmental
Chair to enter into academic internship agreements
and into any other department-specific cooperation
