Programs Flexibility

The National University of Quilmes is committed to working in order to provide students with the best level of education and training within the selected course of study.

Our academic proposal emphasizes the programs flexibility. The UNQ is constantly offering updated and diverse courses of study of the highest academic quality, which favor the students’ independence about their learning process.
Personal Tutoring
At the UNQ, we guide students by means of tutor teachers, whom students can contact if they need guidance in order to make final decisions.

Tutor teachers provide information about the University’s rules and activities so as to help students adapt, and advise them along the different stages in their courses of study.

Programs

At the UNQ, there are two kinds of programs:
- “One-level” courses of study, where students start their Degree course from the first year of study.
- “Two-level” courses of study: one Diploma course (Social Sciences and Science and Technology) and one higher level Degree course. Our purpose is to provide general training in the basic knowledge of each field of study.

Subjects are grouped by levels, and students must earn a given amount of credits in each level in order to qualify for their University Degrees.
Some levels consist of compulsory subjects, while others are optional or complementary. The students’ freedom of choice varies according to each level’s description.

Credits System

The University does not follow a subjects correlation system, but a credits system by means of which each passed subject adds academic credits for the students. Thus, students design their own curricular programs.

At the time of choosing theirs subjects, students are provided with information about the prior knowledge and skills necessary in order to take and pass subjects successfully.
