Objectives
 

The Technical Degree in IT Programming intends to provide professionals with knowledge, techniques, tools and skills for their professional performance in technical areas specialized in programming.

The University’s program provides students with solid knowledge of new technologies, techniques and tools for the design, programming and implementation of IT applications, and it incorporates the most recent technical and professional advances and developments within the field.
 
Program
 

Duration: two and a half years.

Subjects have a four-month term duration and are divided into three groups: compulsory, optional and complementary. In order to receive the Technical Degree in IT Programming, students must attend a minimum of 1,800 class hours.

- Information Security
- Introduction to Databases
- Introduction to Programming
- Networks Technology I
- Advanced Programming Techniques

 
:: Optional level* (six subjects to choose from):
- Mathematical Analysis II
- Operating Systems II
- Organization and Architecture II
- Operating Systems Laboratory
- Networks Technology II
- Project Management Programming Languages Laboratory
 
:: Complementary level** (a minimum of three subjects):

- Testing Principles (General Group)
- Management Systems. Software Quality (General Group)
- Professional Ethics (General Group)
- Neural Networks (IT Group)
- Databases Laboratory (IT Group)
- Physics (Industrial IT Group)
- Introduction to Automation and Control (Industrial IT Group)
- Industrial IT (Industrial IT Group)
- Chemistry (Bioinformatics Group)
- Molecular Genetics (Bioinformatics Group)
- Bioinformatics (Bioinformatics Group)
- Two levels of English
- Professional Practice Workshop

 

* Students must have passed 50% of the compulsory level subjects to be able to take optional subjects.

 
   
   
 
Graduate Students Education
 
Graduates students from the Technical Degree in IT Programming are prepared to:

   
:: Manage and maintain computer networks in an efficient and functional manner according to their workplace requirements, including security aspects
 
:: Develop Programs under different operating systems and technologies.
 
:: Choose the appropriate hardware and network software tools for each particular case.
 
:: Handle and implement IT technology solutions.

Participate and interact in professional teams in the field for the design and development of IT systems.

 
:: Install and fine-tune the hardware and software.
 
:: Design and execute applications in different platforms.
 
::

Properly use methodologies, techniques and tools that define and manage databases.
